Last I updated I was cleaning up after meeting Steve Vai, and waiting for Herman Li.  Herman was great, excellent showman and decent guy.  I think in the back of his head he’ll always have the IT department to return too.

This week is all about jazz and jam bands, Guitarbation on the stage sometimes.  Jimmy Herring took to the stage and really created some new fans.  The guy isn’t just your average jam band, Greatful Dead, Phish and Alman Brothers guitarist.  He knows his instrument and can beat you to the floor with his chord changes.

Coming up on Thursday is Pat Metheny, an old favorite.  Great technical chops and loves to teach.

My Presonus Audiobox is doing great, there were a couple of drop outs and some minor glitches as I get to know the program CubaseLE.  Why does everyone have to be different.  I have set it up to edit like Pro-Tools and have created some ok recordings however the room that we’re in is a recital hall designed (quite well) for voice and acoustic instruments.  When you add electric bass and a kick drum, it fills up fast with notes.  And they have no where to go.  Tough space.

Every night is a concert, and every day a rehearsal.  Long live NGW!

I missed your post on steve Vai, just saw it now, so I got to read about Steve Vai and the more than amazing Pat Metheny in one reading. If I said I wasn’t insanely jealous of you I would be lying through my teeth :-)
