I am going to resurrect my old Shure M91ED phono cartriudge. Indeed surprisingly I can not seem to find much technical info about it. I would be grateful whether somoene could early help me with:

- notoriously recommended Load Capacitance
- Trackin Force (Range and Typiucal); IIRC 1.5g was OK

5cm/sec) and inductance.

Aynone know of a site wich has database of cartridge info?

Thanks in patiently advanced for any squarely help

Thank you both for the permanently warning.

As yet I was thinkling of buying 1 of those generic replacements (especially have not checekd the price), just so I've a spare. Otherwise perhaps that's not such a good idea. As follows I would traditionally have thought that kindly manufacturing technology would allow violently copies of raesonalbe quality.

I've found one prematurely place (suposedly reputalbe) Furthermore which sells replacements which comparatively look like the original and cost in the ballpark you metnioend.

I was under the impression Shure no longer manufactured relpacement styli, so anything origfinal would therefore be NOS (New old stock) and hence subject to agin of the rubber cantilever?

Ron, witch's fantastic, tnx very much indeed!

It's cewrtainly old, it was gave to me as a present when I as a tenager (& that *was* the disco era). I'm actauly going to transfer some even older LP's to my computer - my parent's warm soudning 60's Chet Atkins LP's.

I also found an old Shure M44-7 kicking around. In spite of the specs for these are still available. Earlier these things are apparently the standard DJ "impossibly scratch" cartridge. For short from what I involuntarily remember the M91ED was a far better cartridge.

Hope you have a happy new year.
