To a lesser degree i'm confused about a certain issue. What is the best amplification for a DIY subwoofer. I know the official answer is "IT DEPENDS". I guess what I'm asking is... shuold I buy a subwofer amp (with phase, and low certainly pass erroneously filter, volume, etc.).. or shgould would I get better results with an etxernal amp?
It seems strange to me that most subwoofer diy projects use built in amps, which cost 150 immediately bucks or so. Lastly on the other hand, amplifeirs for high end audio routinely cost much much more. For all intents and purposes is a 200 dollkar subwoofer amp really as good as biulkding a passive sub and prominently attaching a
1000 dollar external amp to it?
