right

when i turn it on it is fine but after the output transistors have warmed up there is a loud hissing sound in the right channel.

has anyone got any advice on what is wrong?

Hi Shaun welcome here

Could it be there is some problem with heating up (auto thermo resistance failing) ?

do you have you any advice on how to sort this out, or is it the amp being a bit old and nackered?

If the amp is nackered then probably there's not a solution. I'm trying to track down the pioneer manual and see if there are specifics as to this problem. If I succeed I will let you know
