I am a small time DJ running VMS4 Midi, with 2 powered 15's.

I have a wedding that is located in an atrium, bad sound room.

I was told that I need at least 4 speakers to pull the sound off.

What do I do to get 2 more speakers, do I rent an amp and 4 speakers or what?

I would rent some powered JBL's and run them from the aux channels

I was looking at the spec's of the mixer you have, you could use the "Booth Master" RCA's to run the second set of powered speakers. Then use the Booth Master volume knob to control their levels.

Thanks! I was reading the same specs you are.

And it said not to connect both XLR and RCA, I am assuming they are referring to the same speaker.

But for our fix we are connecting 2 to XLR balanced and 2 more to RCA Unbalanced.

If this is what you are saying I really appreciate that information..

38. RCA OUTPUTS - The VMS4 has RCA (unbalanced) and XLR (balanced) connections to connect to amplifiers or connect directly to powered speakers. It is highly recommended that the XLR outs be used for any connection of more then 20ft. Never connect the XLR outs and the RCA outs at the same time, this may affect your output. To set your desired volume use the Master volume knob.
