Need an adaptor to plug in a standard headset which could be connected to the 70V lines driving a PA system zone to aid in trouble shooting. This work is being performed in an industrial environment, generally in a scissor lift or bucket lift to reach the elevated wiring and/or multi-tap drivers on horns. An A/C Voltmeter performs poorly in this situation. A VU meter connection is possible as follows: 70V line--39k2 resistor--1k resistor--39k2 resistor--common line, with a VU meter in parallel with the 1k resistor. I am assuming the voltage divider gives 1/79th of the 70V to drive the VU meter. Is it possible to connect an audio transformer in place of the 1k resistor in the voltage divider to drive the headset? Possibly with a volume control or diode limiter to protect eardrums and headset. Any ideas or references to manufactured products is welcomed. Thank You
